May Madness

It has definitely been a crazy month of May for me. Jetting to 3 countries in 3 weeks with juz a day of rest in between the trips. First stop: Vancouver, Canada. The 12 hour flight from HK may sound daunting to some, but still, it didn't seem long enough for me. That magical feeling of flying still has not waned in me. The adrenaline rush when the engines roar at full thrust during Take-off.. Seeing how the cabin crew in Premium airlines like CX & SQ provide the kind of inflight service that's the envy of the industry.. I must admit though, when it comes to Economy, SQ probably have the edge over CX but i guess CX has done really well for the First and Business..

Cargo out after arriving in Vancouver 20mins ahead of schedule.

Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Resort - Venue of 2010 Winter Olympics.

Lake Louise - Still frozen but nonetheless left me in awe.

The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise - You wouldn't want to leave this place.

Less than 24hrs after arriving back in Singapore, i'm off to Tioman with 4D. I must say i was largely disappointed with Tioman as one of the top tourist destinations in Malaysia. There is no proper system in place at the Mersing Ferry Terminal for the boarding of the ferry service to Tioman and Berjaya Tioman didn't exactly live up to expectations either. Despite these 'nitty-gritties', i must say that the trip was a resounding success. And who's to forget the Flaming Lamborghini at the Poolside bar and er-hem's 'Black Patch' in the sea.. =) Absolute Madness with that litre of 'Absolut Vodka'... Cheers..

Happy 21st Uncle Bing..

Next stop, Hong Kong! It was rather unfortunate that we were caught up in Typhoon Chanchu during the 2nd day of our trip but nonetheless, we braved the strong winds and climbed up the steps to the Giant Buddha. Disney HK is really small but the fireworks was spectacular. Symphony of Lights at Victoria Harbour.. I'm lost for words as to how brilliant this nightly 15-min show is.. You have to be there to experience it for yourself.. Conquering Macau Tower with our Skywalk-X @ 233m above ground.. Woosh. Des & Geng.. Hope i've not fared too badly as the 'tour guide' bahx.. =

Finally managed to take a photo with CX Cabin Crew!

The stunning lights at Victoria Harbour.

The aftermath of Typhoon Chanchu - Clear Skies!

Des wanted to hold its tail but was promptly stopped by one of the Disney 'Cast Member'! Lolx..

Ayumi @ Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

Stunning pose from Andy Lau.

Cathay Pacific 60th Anniversary Road Show

It certainly was a pleasant surprise to find out that the CX roadshow coincided with our HK trip.. Wanted to get some of the CX anniversary collectibles but the queue was just too long.. =( It was unfortunate, however, that our trip has to end with an atrocious landing from Captain Clayton on CX715. . Argh.. And this concludes my first entry on this new blog.. =)
